I was wondering if you can take a 3s-gte motor and mate it with a front wheel drive transmission if so please let me know thank you. Hope to here that you can!

a lot of people's preference stay with jarco, because of their standard in quality, but expect to pay for it as well, venus auto is also a pretty reputable place with reasonable offers, there are plenty of others, just nothing coming to my head... check ebay ever so often, you can find some good stuff from places like jarco

Just Japs sells good engines. Bought two engines from them and both came out in good working condition.

To stay FWD you can use the 5sfe, but do your research on here. I thought there were some possible problem tearing up the tranny with increased horsepower. I have used the MR2 tranny and am set up as fwd right now. You can use the AWD Tranny and take the cover plate and other parts off the MR2 tranny and convert that - so I am told.

Out 99GT tranny is holding up great under the 3S-GTE.....and I don't exactly drive the car nicely.

In answer to your question though, the Celica GT tranny mates right up to the 3S-GTE. FYI, there's a few guys who are using the MR2 E-153 tranny with the LSD in the Celica's also. There's some axle swapping needed, but it works and is better geared and stronger than the stock GT tranny.
