as console gamers would know, PS3's gonna be released on the 17th this month. big companies don't have it since people have already preordered them. i'm wondering if you guys who work in best buy, circuit city etc would be able to hook me up. i want 3 consoles.

not reselling it. 1 for me, 1 for my friend, 1 for my boss. but even if i can't get 3. 1 for me is still good.

hard drive to save games, second off NO ONE will hold more than 1 system per customer. Ive got my friend who works at gamestop and even there certain employees have trouble even reserving one for themselves, check Bestbuy/walmart Walmrt will get 18 per store and best buy 26. Best of luck dude, im not wasting my money on the wii.

Just found out the other day that the buyer of my old car destroyed the clutch (which explains why it has been in the same parking spot for two months now) and he's not fixing it because he's saving his money for a PS3. My poor old car. Oh well.

shin, you saw the game play videos of Gears of War. the 360 is a HUGE step forward from its previous version.
i know most people like one or the other, but when all is said and done, the 2 consoles will have be able to do pretty similar graphics in their games. it just comes down to whos games you like better.

the launch line up of games for this xmas sucks on the ps3. nothing really good coming out. thats why i think its worth it to wait a year or so before buying one, so that the price might drop and you might get some games worth playing.

Metal Gear Solid 4. The last game of probably the best series of games ever made.

Oh and Art hit it on the head. It all depends on the developer and 3rd party support for graphic quality. And btw, you cannot judge Gears untill you have seen it in action and beatin' it. It is gorgeous.

I just got an XBOX 360 last night. At Wal*Mart, it's 399.82, bundled with Burnout: Revenge. Can't beat that. I also picked up Gears of War, and I will be selling my PS2, and getting a couple of other games. .

They had a PS3 there on display, btw. That thing is HUGE.

Ever considered the market? How many units does the UK move versus the US and Japan? I'd assume that they release in the largest markets first, and send the first few batches there, then move on as time progresses. They probably do not have the means to launch a worldwide release, and have sufficient systems enough to even scratch the surface of all of the markets.

That's just an educated guess though.

totally agree, those are some pretty dismal launch titles (to me anyway)
to be honest I have no idea how someone could spend so much money on a piece of plastic with some silicon chips that will depreciate faster than you can enjoy it

Eh, I don't know the validity of it. I heard it through my mom, whom heard it through the local news.

I just honestly think it's funny that probably over 75% of the people buying one, are buying one to resell it. So, those chonches aren't gonna make as much money as they are hoping to.

And yes, the Xbox 360 on HDTV is simply amazing. I just moved from a PS2, to an Xbox 360. Then, after playing the Xbox 360 through a damn RF Coax hook-up, because I'm hood like that, I moved up to a 32" Magnavox LCD HDTV.
