So im going home from work the other week on the 5 freeway and there is a whole lot of traffic so i decide to jump off and take San Fernando road home. Im cruising next to burbank airport and i look in my rearview mirror and guess what i see. A SWEET ass hot rod in silver. I slowed down to get a better look and guess who's driving it? Jay Leno himself! haha He looks over at me smiles and freaking floooooorrsss it!!! Im not big on street racing but when will i ever get this opportunity again???? I drop it into 3rd gear and gave chase in vain, he shoot ahead like five cars before being stopped at a light.

I pulled up next to him and we began talking while we were waiting for the light. I said something to the extent of "thats a sweet ride" and asked him what he had under the hood. He smiled and responded "corvette" and gave me another rev. that thing was LOUD with a super loppy idle. I could bearly hear him talk it was so loud. It was a 32 roadster with sweet custom wheels and massive Wilwood brakes up front, a sweet paint job and nothing but a windshield in front of his frosted head. He asked me what i had and i told him, just a turbo on 4 cylinders, his response? "at least you get good gass milage" laugh.gif the guy has jokes. the light turned green and we went at it one more time, ending in my quick demise... who cares? it not everyday you get to race Jay Leno. We met up at one more light where i Waved, he waved and we both turned. His garage is about 5 minutes from my house. It was an awsome experience biggrin.gif I know this post might get shut down, but it was worth telling you guys!

no thread jack, but i read an article about the tankrod.

that crazy thing was built by a glass artist who "knew he would eventually sell it to jay leno."

has a bus transmission and runs on shaved garbage truck tires. nice!

ps i'm jealous that you got to race jay leno. that's a cool story!
