okay so im going to finally be getting a new sub set up very soon, and i measured out the COUPES trunk, and its around 19 or so inches high. so that means the sub will fit.....but it also needs to be put in a box and that will take up some more room....i think it will be fine.......but does anyone know from personal experience...or know someone that i could talk to???

I hope the coupe Trunk is nothing like the vert trunk. If it is...your outta luck bud. lol.

What's the length and width of the trunk? I'm sure you'll have no problem fitting a box for a 15 in there.

Just depends how much of a boot you will be left with.

easily fit a 15 but that also depends on how much airspace that particular 15" sub would need tongue.gif . i have done 3cuft with more than half the trunk left so it isnt really a problem (hatchback)

first newbie box just to give you a sense of size -> http://img206.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p...08medium4fe.jpg

The length and the Width isnt a problem. its the height.

How is it not a problem when finding the volume of a box is calculated by L * W * H?

I had to fight my 2 12's in there. There just isnt as much room as you would think.

I would recommend building your own box. If you're not confident in your woodworking skills, find a friend or somebody that is willing to help. Pre-made store bought boxes are universal and are not made for a specific sub (unless otherwise stated). Building your own box will allow you to put the subwoofer in an optimal enclosure given by the specs from the manufacturer.

The numbers you put down are in ft^3 (cubic feet), this is the volume of the box. To find volume you need to multiply length x width x height. The measurements for length, width, and height can be anything just as long as the volume comes out right (unless it affects the mounting of the subwoofer i.e. not enough room for excursion or insufficient mounting depth). Bass is non-directional so you can have the sub firing in any direction (up, to the back, to the front, etc.)

OmnipotentHammer has a 15" sub and it takes up every bit of space in his trunk.

just get a good quality 12... venting space is needed and you shouldnt push that by using a 15

one type r 12 on that amp would sound good... 2 on that amp could even work, but that would take a lot of space, and they would be a bit underpowered
