Hello all, I'm new here and come looking for some advice. I've got a 1994 6G coupe. The car was purchased new by my father ( pretty good mid-life crisis car!) and he gave it to me 2 years ago with 94K on it. The interior is almost perfect, and the body was perfect except for faded/worn paint. I put a new clutch and struts all around and let my wife drive it. During that time it was given 3 parking lot "gifts" (dents of various sizes). The sunroof flip-up bar screws had let go and one day while the roof was open the bar peeled back breaking the flexable curved spring on one side. I closed the roof, and now of course it won't slide back but will flip the rear end up to ventilate.
So here's my question: how do I remove the glass roof panel to install the new parts, and where should I go for these parts? Sorry for the ramble.
Thanks for your help!
David

you're going to have to remove the top roof lining to get at the glass panel. Its not hard, just time consuming.

Thanks for the reply. I opened it with the rear end up, then after looking for a few minutes, stuck my finger (from the outside of the car) into a small retangular hole in the side plastic trim piece, and it popped off. Popped off the other side and front piece ( though I now realize I didn't need to remove the front one) and loosened the 4 nuts holding the glass roof panel. That's it. About 10 minutes. Then I pulled the broken spring by unscrewing 1 screw.
As a FIY, there are U shaped shims around the bolts between the roof and brackets . They are loose... they WILL fall out! I think there are 1 thin and 1 thick shim in the front and 1 thick shim in the rear.
Thanks again for steering me in the right direction!
