Some of you all here know that in addition to our Celica, my wife and I have a 99 Corvette and 2 1993 Trans Am's.

One of those Trans Am's has been a long time project "fun" car and is currently getting a 383 LT1 build and an ATI D1SC supercharger. But, the rest of the car is stock save for the clutch and stereo, and the paint is rough.

My 99 Vette on the other hand is my dream car.

So I'm cruising the Corvete Forum last night and I see a thread that catches my eye. Air Power Systems from Australia is running a special on one of it's kits. $6995 DELIVERED to the 48 states, their Twin Turbo C5 Corvette kit. Uses twin TD06 turbo's at that. On 7.5 PSI made 607 RWHP on a STOCK C5 ZO6.

So......I'm sitting on the fence right now as to part the project trans am out in order to finanace the Twin Turbo kit for the Vette. Just the fact that we have four toy cars right now is making me lean towards doing it, but at the same time, I feel like a sellout because the project Trans Am was my FIRST car that I ever modded or did anything to.

It's a sucky decision, but either way, I'm giong to be kicking myself for not going the other way. I want it all but can't have it dang it!

what do you guys think?

Well, I see I have the seal of approval from all you guys here!

The biggest issue I'm facing right now is selling out and parting out my first "real" sports car, the one that I've got more blood sweat and tears into than anything (figuratively speaking on the third part of that list). I makes me cringe thinking of tearing the car down piece by piece until there's nothing left besides an empty shell that gets carted off to the junkyard. then I think about the fact that it's going to take another $15K or more to put it back on the road in the condition that I want.

I think either way I choose on this, I'm not going to be terribly pleased with the outcome until the recipient of the goodies gets driven.

I say do the corvette, my dad kinda went through this awhile back. He had the first corvette he bought when he was 19, it was a 79,but to make it what he wanted it was gonna take a lot more money than it would take to buy his dream 62 vette. he went with the 62 and has loved every minute. It hard but i think the vette would serve you right.
