im getting a straight pipe exhaust....wat diameter do u guys think would give me a nice deep tone....and b good for performance?

if your going to stay with an N/A motor, do either 2.25inch or 2.5inch mandrel bent exaust.
if your going to turbo soon...just wait, and after u turbo go with a 3inch mandrel bent exaust. as for mufflers....your choice. -------------------- ![]() Kawi Love |

i was thinking abt. goin w/ tha 2.5 but i wasnt sure if that would b too big...causing me to lose hp....thanx 4 tha advice!

yes, you will lose power, not so much Hp, but torque. Loss of back pressure due to your removing the cat and running a straight pipe will cause your engine to feel less powerful and sound lawnmowerish. My advice is leave the cat in place or if you wish to, install it with no cat and invest in a good highflow system later. And please, get a canister style muffler instead of a simple exhaust tip. It will Vastly improve the sound of the vehicle.
