Hey guys, im almost done my turbo setup...just have a few minor things to finish up on. one of which is to finish the whole 3 inch piping all the way back. I have 3inches to about half the car already, just need the rest done and also the pipe. Im not too sure which pipe to do though. I was looking at some of the pipes on ebay for the STIs and EVOs.

Here is a sti pipe

another sti pipe

here is one for supras

im not really looking for anything too loud. I know it cant be avoided, but i'd like to atlease have a nice low and deep grumble on idle and low rpm. WHat i really want is the supra sound. I notice alot of guys running the flowmaster too...how much better performing or sounding is it from obx or any of the 3 links i just posted? I also notice these pipes are really cheap...is this going to hurt my setup? will the more expensive pipes be better?

If you want a really good sounding muffler like you jsut described go with a flowmaster 40 series or 50 series.. both are available with center 3" inlets and you can get a single 3" out or 2 2.5" outlets.. I went with the 2 2.5" outlets.. becareful with the 40 series because it is ungodly loud.. The 50 series is a tad bit quieter but I can still hear my car idling out on the street from anywhere in my house.. it's a very low rumble sound and it is never ricey.. at 3K rpm it sounds like I'm doing 5K... very throaty sound with turbo-back 3" ... also you get a good amount of deceleration afterburn through it.. that sweet popping sound.. especially if I coast in 2nd down to about 1500rpm.. better yet is if I let it coast down that slow and then just tap the throttle a tiny bit... sounds soooooo nice.. but loud.. even with a cat ..

The sound of my exhaust on the street turns peoples heads and the FMIC makes them stare.. lol

If cops around your area are annoying then you may want to stay clear of the 40 .. for sure.. and maybe even the 50 series.. it's loud.

HKS hi power is similar in sound to the HKS Carbon-Ti right?? they are both canister shaped, and similarily sized.

If you want stealth... go with a Vibrant Flat Black Muffler. Looks stock but is 3 inches straight through http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=vibran...le&ct=title

I like it. It sounds really good, deep tone, only loud at high rpms.
