awesome thumbsup.gif. i am willing to bet that in several years this swap will be as popular as the 3s swap. added to v6 thread http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?act=ST...t=0#entry524284

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

I was going to go auto if I did this swap. Auto and turbo it. You could run more consistant times in bracket racing with the auto hooked to a big motor like that. Auto is generally more consistant no matter what the motor size, it's just not as fast in low hp motors. It can be faster in the higher hp cars with faster quarter and 1/8 mile times.

if you plan on turbo v6, 3vzfe is a much better option than the 1mzfe. youre right, auto is usually faster unless you are a professional driver. there was an article in a magazine i read a while back that compared times of auto vs manual using both the magazine editors (who are probably good drivers to begin with) and professional drivers. only the pro drivers managed a faster lap time with the manual.

of course its possible, but like any awd swap, fabrication will be needed. that said, engine should bolt onto the awd tranny just fine. id like to see someone with an st205 across the pond swap a v6 and twin turbo it.

auto? aww... i wouldn't get an auto. it kinda takes away the sportiness of a car. i don't even like paddle shifters. yeah auto might be better in some ways for some people. but just not for me. still a nice swap though.

ok i have pondered doing turbo v6 swap in my st205 and since i am doing a v6 swap i know what it takes and i know where to buy a rhd avalon harness at junkyard in ky that gets all the toyota test cars ..

my big thing is a st205 in the states in rare and i really want to keep in oem cond (98 style) but who knows may still down the road ..

there has been a 185 done with v6 in uk already and he had to use a lot of mismatched tranny parts from rav4 ,etc..

i wouldnt care if its auto or stick, that thing would fly. We got a 1MZFE in my shop here at school. Its just sittin in an engine cradel some one made to hold the engine and let it run wihtout havin it in a car. Its great its just running the exhaust down, to a small muffler then out. We were revin it up to like 7000RPM today to show how amperage increases as the rpms of the alternator does..that thing sounds bad ass...it sounded like an indy car. One of my friends told me he will gimme $500 towards doing the swap if i keep my celica..lol
