Who here is using aftermarket and what ya got and what did you expirence after the change?
I have a set of Eagle ESP H beams on the way and a set of Arias 87mm pistons and rings. I spun a bearing on the highway last week.. So I got a reman'd crank.. they put a slight knife edge on it too.. came with matching ACL bearings.. figure now since I have it all out and apart I might as well do some ugprades with the rods and pistons.. having the entire bottom end balanced as well. -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer. Future engine swap... possibly a 2jzge.

Once I do a custom intake manifold, fuel upgrade, cams and standalone I'm hoping to be close to 400whp and hoping to do this around 20-21psi. Weakest part will now be the crank. -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer. When i worked a motorcycle performance shop, we sold and used Carillo H-beam rods on our motors. They are strong and the bolts they used are almost indestructable. That was important for a 1397cc hayabusa reving up to 14,000 with nitrous or turbo, and sometimes both. they are pricy though i will say that

I road a bike for about a month last summer.. a 92 ninja 500cc... it wasn't all that fast of a bike.. it was rated for a 13s 1/4mile.. but that thing took my breathe away.. they just ****in move so god damn fast.. Too bad I ended up wrecking it due to fuel gumming up and the carbs starving and then out of no where it came back to life again real fast and I went vertical. Oh well... I'll stick to planes and cars This post has been edited by Punisher: Mar 4, 2007 - 12:31 PM -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer.
