my uncle just bought a celica recently, now the car shakes or vibrate a lot. this happens mostly when we are driving above the speed limit of 15 and give it gas. the only issues that the car has right now is dead shocks. what im thinking of is the bearings.... but im not sure and want to discuss it on here. i just want to see if anyone of you guys here have this problem and may help me figure what is wrong. thank you -john

Well first thing is replace the shocks. But it also could be a motor mount.

i think thats ur bearings, happened to me before. If you like to see if it's ur bearing, jack up your car and see if there's any play in the wheel. Sometime its not all that accurate, i took my whole spindle out and actually was able to wiggle my hub.

i could try that to my uncle's car then, but would the dead shocks have any effect on it?

It could be your drive shaft. I just had this problem, it's been ongoing for the past 6moths but got worse this past week. Got it looked at during the summer and it was wearing.

As I accelerated above 30mph i got this sudden vibration. Replaced my drive shaft and problem solved.
Signs to look for: torn rubber boot covering the knuckle. It was vibrating because the boot was torn and the grease basically "dried" out.

Just because he did his alignment, it does not mean something is off in his tires like a slight warp of defect or even tire balancing.

it was the timing belt, and the tires weren't balance out, right now i have a clicking noise when i shift.. im thinking it's the clutch because it happens only after i shift or clutch. but im not sure yet, the clutch doesn't seem to have wear out yet.
