I have Celica 97 SX and I want to lower it because the aftermarket wheels leave alot of space between body and wheel.

Do I have to buy coilovers or can i just get Lowering King Springs?

I read somewhere that sometimes King springs wont work because the shocks are not made to work in a lower region. So therefore lowering it with King springs will make the shocks useless.

Any Help? tongue.gif

I know you have to get aftermarket shocks.... stock ones wont last long at all. it really all depends on the type of ride you are looking for. but pretty much no matter what, it will be a lot more rough than if it was stock.

You can go with lowering springs and get away without buying new shocks if your stock ones are still good. I've had my car for 2.5 years and I have run coilovers as well as my current tiens and i've only replaced the rear struts when i first bought her. Coilovers are too rough for me and i had them for a year. I would go with tiens s techs like alot do which give you that lowered look with a ride thats somewhat close to stock.
