Tail bulbs, 1157's not working? Options

One of my tail lights burnt out, so I look up the 1157 bulb, stopped by a store and picked up a pair.

I finally get around to replacing it, and after taking the tail and the bulb out, I find that it doesn't fit...

The original bulb has one connector at the bottom, but the 1157 bulb I bought has 2 connectors at the bottom (and 2 filaments inside the bulb)... I figured all 1157's would be the same.. well, doh.

So I'm searching for maybe some variant of the 1157 bulb right now, but maybe someone can cut my search short by telling me exactly which one it is.

It doesn't matter too much as I'll be bringing the bulb to the store to get a match, but I figure that the lighting "Info" section should be modified so others will not go and buy the wrong 1157 like I did.

EDIT:
It looks like our tails use both a 1156 (single filament) and 1157 (double filament) bulbs, not to mention the turn signal bulb.
