I am sorry if this is already posted, but I didn't see how to take the AC unit apart to change those colors. I have my dash apart right now, so any quick reply would be helpful with what exactly to take apart. I see this big plastic piece is appears to be the main thing that is preventing me from taking it out after I unscrewed it, and I see ofcourse the electrical plug. So is there anything special I need to look out for?

Thanks

There is a black cable that runs through the firewall to a coolant valve and a blue cable that runs to the mixer door under the dash on the drivers side. Both of those need to be detached.

How do I detach them? Will I have to worry about replenishing anything in order to complete this? Like will coolant leak or anything?

Got your PM.

These are the two cables that are holding it in place:

If I were to paint it I'd use some Testors brand candy color paint. It's translucent so it should let the light shine through pretty well. You can get it at hobby stores and even wal-mart in the toy area.
