Hi All,
Just got my first Celica today - '95 GT ...and was under the distinct impression that it had ABS. Now after a little investigation and reading back over the threads i'm a little concerned! I have seen engine bay pictures and they show a small box with the tubes coming out on the lower left hand side of the engine bay - I don't have this...nor do I have the ABS dash light. However, when I'm braking (normally) I'm getting a lot of pulsing and feedback through the brake pedal. We tested the brakes in the usual fashion for ABS and the wheels locked up. I thought ABS was as standard?? Now worried that the pulsing means a pretty warped brake disc ... any thoughts?! Cheers Linzi |

I believe ABS is an option.
Though you have a UK car, so it's not exactly the same as US stuff. Get your rotors checked out. -------------------- |

If ABS doesn't light up on the dash when you switch on, you haven't got it, plus it only works when braking HARD.
If they're warped get them checked, it will get picked up on next MOT -------------------- |
