http://asianwolf.com/item.jhtml?UCIDs=1068...mp;PRID=1392167 Is there something I need, or something? I'm somewhat clueless. Help me decide what I should get, please. -------------------- |

I've heard a lot of good things about this alarm, and I am going to get it.. but it comes with a free item, and I don't know if there's something I need extra, or something.

uh, i'm getting it b/c of the reviews on this website. i've already made my decision, and it's not changing, i just want help on what to get for the free gift because i don't know if there's anything else i need.
for future replies, if you're going to post and say "get something else" it's a waste of time, because it is not answering the question i was originally asking. -------------------- |

Remember everyone, the effectiveness of an alarm all goes done to the installation. |

who is going to install it for you? most shops only install alarms they sell you.

Just a warning, getting a cheap 2 way alarm almost makes it ironicaly useless, as you will lose the signal if you go deep into a mall or too far from the car...or so I heard..DEI and Compustars seems the leaders in long range and reliability. (they use higher frequency). If you still want to get something cheap, you can get a 1 way system from an established maker.
I'm not trying to change your mind! I dont know about this brand and cannot comment any more on it. But for your question, get the glass sensor for sure. -------------------- -Rémy 02 SiR, 08 250R |

I've already verified that they would install it for me. The only reason why I got a 2 way is BECAUSE I researched alarms ON THIS BOARD and it was highly recommended. You know, I really enjoy the negative input and discouragement every single time I post something worthwhile on these boards. Anyway, I already bought it and it should be arriving shortly. -------------------- |

get another... oh wait. We've covered that.
In all fairness, almost any alarm is better than the stock alarm that comes with the 6th gen - do you guys have the Alpine-rebadged TVSS alarm with the square remote? P.S. Hi Jen! In answer to your question though, you shouldn't need to buy anything else. Your installer should have all the necessary sundries that would be required when installing (cable ties, shrink wrap, nuts and bots etc) edit: Choose the "No thanks" gift! hehe +1 vote for the glass sensor, or the window roll-up module. glass break, power supply, prox... and the window moduales, louder sirens
-glass break (test with a piece of glass if you want) highly reccomended -power supply, so they cant just short it out from ur parking lights -proximity sensors, incase the glass break doesnt work, and they are reaching around inside the car, plus lets you know when someone is all close to ur car -window moduales - summer time, driving windows down, stop somewehre, arm ur car and up go the windows, or ur checking out at a store gettin ready to head back to ur car, hit the windows down, by the time you get there air is circulated outta ur car makin it alot cooler, plus it keeps ur car armed and with prox... anyone puts their hands in ur car it goes off -louder sirens - seriously... who does anything when a car alarm goes off anymore??? i know when im being a dick and hit the panic button if anyone is around most people's interest is peaked and actually walk over to find me saying "sorry wrong button" great alarm, if your going to do something.. do it all out in this aspect, get a signal booster?? or something like that, friend at tweeter hooked one up to mine and i get signal and response from 6 blocks away inside an apartment building in a city setting (pittsburgh) if you want i can call him n get soem part #'s for ur alarm -------------------- you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!
