I think that a picture section is a good idea. ppl show off the finish projects they started and can get some positive comments. is also a good place to show off other cars and pics from ur local car shows. I know on the old corolla site i was on that it was a very popular site, ppl love showing off their cars and i enjoyed checking out all the new work and ideas. just a thought

Well, if people want to show off their cars, they can always post the pics of their car in their profile. If they want to show other pics, the forums are a good spot for those generally. But I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks.

I agree with coomer. Weve seen pics of KamixZR recently and Natalie's with her GT4 hood (those two stood out to me). I personnaly don't think this site requires much else.
The members ride section also works well I thought. Specify - pics only. |

I think its no use because people have profiles....it would just take up more bandwith, I think.

I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to allow new users a couple more pictures in their profiles, but I understand the bandwidth situation can be bad.

I like mac's idea. It would be nice to have a gallery to look at instead of clicking on EVERYONES profile. I tried looking at everyones car one day and gave up because it took forever.

Maybe Coom could think about a "gallery" page where 1 thumbnail pic from everyones profiles is displayed with their username (and link to profile) is underneath. (In my mind I see a giant invisible table )
Then people could change which of their profile pics is used in their control panel. Just a thought because I agree the members rides section are difficult to navigate unless you know what you're looking for. |

Yeah, I like Kamix idea. Maybe the gallery could just use the first picture in everyone's profile by default.

The problem with that is that some people upload photos that aren't photos of their Celicas, even though they're not supposed to. I don't have time to always be going through member profiles looking at pictures so I could delete the non-Celica pictures, so some of the images in the gallery wouldn't be of sixth generation Celicas. Maybe I could work up something so that users can select which pic they feel best represents their car, and then once a user has chosen a pic, it'll show up on a gallery page or something. Also, I will be putting the members' rides search form online soon too, so you'll be able to search for cars by the existing criteria, plus color, username, email, AIM screen name, car modifications, etc. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
