I LOVE RAMEN SOUP!
always have. but, im getting a little bored with it. i wanna spice it up a bit. lately i add some Asian spices and herbs. i saw on the net that you can just crack an egg into the water for something good. do you guys have any ideas? -------------------- |

While bowling he ramen, do what you just mentioned, crack like two eggs and mix it up for more flavor. Or you could always boil eggs cut it in circular pieces and add it on top of ur ramen.
If you want more flavor, mince scallion and place it on top of the ramen and mix it. hehe try a bit of curry ramen too. |

Yum Ramen... I've been eating it ever since I could remember. All those days your mom wasn't around to make dinner... anyways...
I like julienning fresh green onions and cilantro and adding it right before eating it. I think the trick to good Ramen is to add something fresh... otherwise you're just eating a load of MSG and preservatives. That makes me feel sick afterwards. With an egg... instead of just cracking one straight into the soup. Crack it into a little bowl and mix it up with chopsticks or a fork then pour it into bowling water in a circular motion. It's really fluffy and yummy when you do it like this. Another thing I like doing is adding leftover meat into my ramen: Pork chop, steak, chicken from night before... just break it up into little pieces and add it in while you're boiling the noodles so it can absorb more of the soup flavor or right before serving if it's good the way it is... That's my take on ramen... |

i haven't tried this with ramen, but its really good with normal noodles, so it should work with ramen too. boil the ramen like normal. drain the water. put the ramen into a frying pan with some butter. crack 2 eggs over it an keep mixing as it cooks. add salt and pepper. then once its done, add some ketchup. its really good!

Oh I forgot to add... that you have to keep stirring the egg as you pour and also pour it somewhat slowly in a circular motion, kind of like making funnel cake actually. If you pour it too fast you'll get a clump of egg... nasty. i add a bunch of different ingredients in mine.. fried fish balls, wontons, broccoli, crab meat, fried chinese sausages, eggs, spices, & oyster sauce.
and the noodles taste best when they're added in last.. mmmm... speaking of which, i'm going to make myself some ramen when i get home... -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

i should wholesale ramen~ actually mixing flavors sometimes comes up with a even tastier flavor. other times the stronger flavor just covers the other.

Mixing flavors is a start.
I mix the beef flavor and the Chicken flavor then add in meat like chopped hot dogs or a summer sausage. This post has been edited by 6gcSTVT: May 3, 2007 - 2:55 PM -------------------- Darin H. |

I stick with local made ramen. S&S ramen noodles with soup base, chopped green onion for garnish, spam or ham into small pieces, 2 eggs cracked into a separate pot with boiling water and left till cooked, and some shrimp shumai or pork wonton boiled with the ramen and base. Mmm..Mmmm. good stuff Sapporo Ichiban Ramen noodles is a good substitute. "Aloha" soy sauce for a bit more taste.
