I'm getting my 20 valve silver top 4A-GE swapped in very soon, and I'm considering painting my engine bay myself once the 7A-FE is pulled and the engine bay is cleaned. If I did this, my engine bay wouldn't be horrendously ugly like it is now(teal with some yellow), and I would use some sort of yellow spray paint.

Do you guys recommend that I do this, and if so, what kind(s) of paint should I use and how should I paint everything?

Thanks!

Well, I would reccomend you doing it. But I wouldn't just spray paint it. I would try to work a little bit and get the extra cash saved up to paint it with real auto paint, and match it to your exterior. I think it would just look a lot better and give you that good feeling knowing you took the extra step to make your sure car was clean. Good luck with it, Coomer!

Go to any autoshop and you can buy engine and caliper paint in spray cans. Maybe it would be worth the heat protection to get a few cans of that.
