I noticed from pics that there are two different types of center armrests... one seems smaller, and lower, and the other looks tall and kinda bulky (the one I have) whats the difference between these two? and which years and models did they come on?

If its like the 5th gens, the ST model has the smaller hard plastic one. The GT's have a larger more comfourtable leather one.

I think it was still an option though, even for the GTs. I like my fluffy one, cause I can actually rest my arm on it.

OK I think that a lot of us have or had this. It can be removed. I pulled johns off for him and he didn't know that it came off. But its just clipped on there. I took mine off because I didn't like how high my hand/arm was when it was sitting on it.

So you actually can unclip that bulky arm rest? I find it too high up for me.

Yeah, the previous owner of my car had one of those on there. They unclip fairly easily, so go ahead and take that bulky thing off wink.gif

I remember taking mine off a while back, I just forgot... I had to take it off cause the dealer had actually put it on backwards, and as a result of me fixing it I discovered I had cup holders! stupid dealer. So I took it off today and I love where it places my arm and hand for my shifter!!! only problem is the bulky one kinda imprinted and dented the small one frown.gif looks a little messed up.

edit: anyone know how much just the small top piece would be from the dealer?

Depending on if I like mine off or not, I may sell mine. It's in mint condition.

if you sold yours what would you use? I am talking about just the bottom part, the actual lid... if you sold it you wouldn't have anything yourself...?
