Hey guys Iv been having a bit of a problem with my e-brake
Not had the car long and looks like the left e-brake/hand brake has been stuck on so i need some new shoes Problem is iv been to many shops to buy them , All of witch cant identify them. Do you guys have any idea what system they are from? Is it only the Gt & The 5th Gen that is used to Convert the 6th gen to Disc? My Car is a 1.8 1995 celica st. It has rear discs so guess its been converted at some point? Cheers in advance guys This post has been edited by nyawton: Jun 28, 2007 - 4:13 PM |

Those are most likely dealer only parts.
IIRC you can't get the ebrake shoes aftermarket. Though you being in the UK might change that. Also, I believe they are the same size for the 4th - 6th gen Celicas. Maybe not though. This post has been edited by alltracman78: Jun 29, 2007 - 6:20 PM -------------------- |

QUOTE(alltracman78 @ Jul 2, 2007 - 9:05 PM) They all look alike, you really need to compare sizes.... yeah, thats it. here's a website explaining how the drum/caliper combo works. [pg7] http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/brake06.pdf I spent about a whole week looking at auto parts for this part. its a dealer only part here in the united states. Its pretty simple to replace if you're mechanically inclined. -------------------- |
