I did a search on ebay to see what is the cheapest aluminum radiator available. It seems an aluminum rad for a civic can be had for about $80 or so shipped.
Obviously this is a lot cheaper than a Koyo designed for our cars. I don't think the civic radiator has as much surface area, unless it is taller than ours. I happened to see one person with a turboed 7A(i think) that had a civic rad, but there is not much, if any info on the fitment/process/results Anyone with (or attempted) a civic/other car radiator swap? What do you think? Temperature numbers before and after? Thanks! |

civic radiators, or at least the ones I've seen, are only about half as wide as our radiator... here's a pic I took off google to show what I mean:
now, could you make it work? I don't know. but my guess is that it wouldn't be able to keep the engine cool enough. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |
