uh... I just bought an ACT clutch kit... The place I bought it from forgot to ship the alignment tool. Is this alignment tool necessary to install it?

sry elvas i dont know, i was bout to start a thread bout clutches myself till i saw urs....wish i could but im needing to know if replacing cluches on celicas are easy or hard and how to do it...im wanting to replace it with a racing clutch what would be a good brand and type?

otherwise, a simple clutch job can take up to 17 hours like mine did without the right alignment tool. Just go to your local auto store and pick up the right one, it wil make your life a whole lot easier

oh, so if i bring it to my mechanic then he shouldn't need it right? (probably has some mechanic's tool?)

or how do i know which is the right one from an auto store?

it will fit perfectly in the teeth in the middle of the clutch. They usually have a whole box of them at the autoparts store. Otherwise, your no better off than using a broomstick
