I have a question to you more knowing Celica fans.
I live in Sweden and I am looking for a Celica GT-Four, most likely the wrc version. The only ones I have seen yet are Imports from Japan. Therefor they are steered at the wrong side. My question is: Are there any celica Gt-four wrc version with steering for us in countries with traffic on the right side of the road? Are there alot difference between this version and the one just called Gt-Four? You may give me too much information, not too little. Thanks for the help! |

There are LHD GT-Four (steering on the left side of the car, driving on the right side of the road) in Switzerland and Germany. How rare of them in those countries, I don't know.

That is correct and I do not think there are that many of them but I am really interested in the GT-four wrc, it is the one with Twin turbo.
That is my problem, it seems they have not been sold outside Japan at all. Do you know anything about that? |

But not all of them came with twin entry turbo. 1st gen came with single entry turbo (similar to MKIII Supra). 2nd and 3rd gen came with twin entry turbo. 4th gen came with one piece turbo/manifold. -------------------- _Gary

The WRC gets a bonnet spoiler, disconnected anti-lag and disconnected intercooler water spray - there may be more differences but that's the main ones I think

So what you are saying is that there is no reason to pay extra for the wrc version and get a RHD car when the difference are not that big!?
What about performence? I have heard the handling is really good bur what about engine and gearbox and so on? One little bird whispered in my ear that Toyotas gearbox is bad. Exactly what he meant I can not tell because he could not explain it. He is a audi-lover so it might have affected his judgment! Keep on with the feedback! I am learning more for each day! Thank you. |

Personally I would go for the non WRC car - unless your going to wire up the extras then you may as well just got a normal GT4 QUOTE(Mang @ Aug 3, 2007 - 12:13 AM) What about performence? Performance and handling is the same - it's not like the Gen 5 where you could run the CS/RC at higher boost more reliably. He is a audi-lover so it might have affected his judgment! Nothing wrong at all with the gearbox - known very few of them to go unless seriously abused. The only thing that does tend to happen is some shifter bushes split making your car have anywhere between 1 and 3 gears but they are easy enough to change Oh, and I forgot the main difference - they come with the WRC raiser blocks as well - but they are cheap enough to buy This post has been edited by BigAl_UK: Aug 3, 2007 - 6:30 AM |

Thank you for the answers.
A new question have occured. How rare is GT-four version in europe? How hard is there to get spareparts? How many were acctually sold? Just do not want to buy a car that I can not fix if it breaks down... Thanks. |
