couple questions before i start this project..

how long would the stock 7afe rods hold up when used after swapped to 7age?

is it possible to use the 4age rod/bolts in the 7age?

is it worth it to shot peen n crack test the 7afe rods for the swap?

i PM'd nik about the 7age swap, so hopefully i get some other answers from him while gettin some more info from the rest of the 6gc community.

thanks for any help guys!

xav

7AFE rods will probably do ok with a somewhat stockish 7AGE build... but I wouldn't bet on it in the long run if you wanna blast the sucker beyond 7500 rpms daily. 4AGE rods will NOT work.

sorry for the late reply

you can bolt the 4age head right on to the 7afe block

the tuff stuff

rerouting your coolant
timing (this is the hardest part)
new 4ag crank gear (easy)
944 belt
you need after market cam gears

best please for info beside people that have done the build
