I am really not a fan of posting usless posts on someone's FS thread, but this was too funny ![]() Again i Appologize ![]() Edit: Ok not so pointless anymore, does anyone know if those silver pipes are used for the antilag system? just curious This post has been edited by eggman40: Oct 9, 2007 - 11:17 PM |

Guys,
Just want to clear up some things here.....this manifold gives a far higher flow rate of exhaust gases then the standard ST205 manifold, so if your motor is producing high BHP then this is the baby you will need to maximise your cars potential!.....the standard manifold has a limit on the amount of flow it allows through and once maximised then thats all your gna get through it........obviously cos this TTE manifold was used on the corolla rally cars this is the kit for greater gains!!!.....the silver looking pipes were used on the corolla as part of anti lag set up!...these are not used with the ST205 and can be cut off or just left unused.........thats it in a nut shell really! ![]() |

I have a few questions. How do you know that this manifold gives "a far higher flow rate of exhaust gases" than stock manifold? It is proven that stock ST185 manifold flows enough for 500awhp. Isn't that the WRC car has a restrictor plate, only rev to 5800 rpm, and produces 299 bhp due to the FIA rules? Why would TTE manifold flow much better than stock one if there isn't necessity? By the way, do you have any picture of the flange side? Thanks -------------------- _Gary

Because this manifold was taken off the rally machine and was not included in the road cars....thats why it is so rare now......by fitting to the st205 it does allow more flowrate(when pushing the big power).............this piece of kit is the buisness if u want to use 500-600 bhp.....Not sure on restrictor plates??? and we are talking 3sgte celica/mr2 engines here anyway!.....Their is necessity when you want big power...the flange side is shown on the pic i took....fensport used to sell these parts when they first removed from the WRC,s.....and i,m pretty sure they are using them on high powered beasts they have moulded .....

No doubt that this is a rare piece.
![]() My point is the rally car does not need high flow manifold due to the 300 hp rules and their rev range. The turbo on the rally car can't flow much due to the restrictor plate. I would like to see what's your reference/proof when you claim that this manifold flows far better than the stock one. I know Fensport use a "modified" version of this manifold on their black ST205. But Like I said, stock manifold has been proven to 500 awhp. I'd like to see a picture of the port side (where it's mated to the head). How much do you want for it? Thanks -------------------- _Gary
