QUOTE(celicasupra96 @ Nov 28, 2007 - 9:40 PM) like a control arm puller? or a pry bar yeah it took me 6 hours to figure it out the drivers axle will require some technique to it. with a prybar, push upwards and then with a mallet give a steady blow, there is a pin holding it siside the transmission. the passenger side needs 6 bolts removed. make sure you have plenty of space... and jack the car securely before you get underneath... stick it and wam!!!!!!!! -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I did this kinda of work on a Saturn, i havnt done it on my Celica yet but i replaced the clutch on my old Saturn and i have to take both Axles off to do it. Its a pain, but there shouldnt be any crowbar action with it. you could end up damaging the box doing that. it will come out but you have to find the right spot for the axle to slide off from. You can tug and pull all day, if its not in the right spot it wont come off with out taking the gear box with it. its not a smooth pull either once you get it in the right spot, the space between the teeth on the axle and the teeth on the gear box is microscopic. but once you find the right spot it shouldnt need more then a screwdrivers prying force to get it started sliding out. Again i havnt done it on these cars yet but i have had to taken axles off and i didnt need a crowbar.
