Hey guys about a week ago my friend called me tell me that he was driving around and while he was in trafic the engine just went off, I didnt think it was anything serious, so I told him to get it to my garage so il take a look see ,the engine was turning easily and noise was coming from the belt cover, so I remover it only to find the cam belt torn like a rat got in there, ok the problem was diagnosed, my only problem now is HOW did happened, I obviously didnt want to put a new belt in and it would do the same. So I decided to start removing the timing belt where I came across a really strange problem that had occurred, the inlet cam sprocket was completely loose, the Celica has only 60,000km , and we didnt change it because it was still looking good.
Just wanted to share this bit of info with you guys, maybe it occurred to someone else. Thanks -------------------- |
