Houston Celica Lovers Unite!, One more before the Tx meet Options

I propose we hit Hooter's 290 on a Sat night for some wings and maybe a chill session in my garage afterwards [2mins away]. This would be an opportunity for some of those who missed/couldn't stay for the last meet - to meet with everyone going to the TX meet.
Also I'm having one of those "INSANE!!!!!!" pricing sales on all 5S, 7A and 3S parts and components you may need to get your car up to speed for the meet. Panda and Ngofcukingway know - I got anything and everything you want/need for your 6gc at the garage and my baby needs parts badly - now's the time to lowball me [keep that to PM's or in person so as not to spam this thread]

Date: March 1st
Time: 8PM till whenever
Place: Hooter's 290 [@ Hollister/Pinemont in front of Tinseltown

This meet could be as small or as big as necessary - w/e.
Also I propose we use this as the meeting point for the caravan headed to Bastrop. 290 is the perfect way to take and we can utilize the garage [with Lift, compressor tools etc.] I have access to at the halfway point in Brenham in case anybody's car needs attn during the long drive to Bastrop [Mine may be a candidate if the Gremlins decide to act a fool along thwe way].

I'm in but damn - that's far! I'm still kinda -eh- about that many miles on the new motor so quickly. How about the Denny's on I-10 west just inside the loop? I think it's on Shepherd and I-10 or similar. Just a suggestion but I'm always down for Denny's
Also - If it doesn't matter - Sat is always better for me [especially considering the drive] cause I have to be @ work 6AM on Mon.
Whatever tho - pic a place and time and I'll be there.

Or how about this - I'm game for 45S but howabout a Denny's closer to downtown? That's still gonna be clear across town for me but I'd feel better about that drive.

The location doesn't really matter cuz I drive from clear lake to greenspoint every day. I just want it to be on a major highway so there's no issue with trying to get there. I think I know the Denny's on I-10 but that's a crap part of town. Then again, anything inside the loop is a crap part of town...

There were a few more but none were active since mid '07. Should probably check the Texas meet thread too because some of us don't show up cause we just put Texas and not specifically Houston. Still others probably put their suburban area rather than Houston, etc

I'd go, but that's hella far for me. I'd prefer somewhere a bit more centralized. How about the Starbucks on South Post Oak and Westheimer in the Galleria area? We used to have our meets at Red Robin in the Marq*E Center though. I prefer it on a Sunday night as well. Traffic will be a little lighter in general.

BTW, are people really going to show up this time around? Last time we tried one of these, lotta people said they'd go, but the only ones that showed up were myself and Steven (Chinaman727). I won't be looking forward to making that drive if no one's going to show up.

North side. 1960/45 area. Chinaman727 is from the Humble area, so down south would be one hell of a drive for the two of us for sure.

Chewy Balls (tapioca tea shop) offa Louetta and Steubner Airline across the street from Klein High School. Christi is always more than happy to allow us to have car meets there. If not, there's Planet Zero on Westheimer. Hooters on 249 or the 45 end of 1960 doesn't mind either last I remember.

But like I mentioned earlier though, there's that Galleria area. Dave & Buster's sounds badass, but I'm broke. The Supra's ripping a hole in my wallet.

well it looks like Panda and i are the only ones that live on the south side. So we can make due and try to work something a little closer to everyone else. How far would some of those places be from Greens Point Mall

From Greenspoint Mall, you're probably about 10 minutes from where I live, and about another 10 from CB. But wouldn't mind a central point to make it easier for everyone.

well it just seems to me that me and Panda are the ones that would be putting everyone else out, and we make this drive every day to Greens Point so i dont think it will be a huge deal to make an extra trip on one week
