Okay, so I was giving myself the break down for the first $1000+ (Just a little over) I am going to blow in my car and this is also regarding the other $1300 for my car. So far I am going to get rims, lowering springs, and exhaust with the first grand (As next check is already getting the Tails). Second will include a body kit (If I can find something unique, I found out how to create your own but not sure if I want to do that) and with whatever left over to combine with the following paycheck to buy the head lights off of Lew (assuming he still can get a hold of them). Anyways, I see the price ranges for the springs/coilovers and there is a HUGE gap. I see one set price range for under $100/$150 and I see another set price range from $600-$1300. Which is the way to go? In the future, I would like to go AWD, so should I get some cheap ones until I am ready to invest into expensive ones? What's your thoughts? Because the shocks are wearing out on my car on the left hand side.

kybs, are oem shocks, 250 the set.

cheap coilovers, you get what you paid for.. cheap

why coilovers. if you want to lower and not spend too much, get some teins,
then save for good coilovers.

AWD difficult to convert, its doable. i guess not worth the money. since we dont have dirt roads, doubt your car will ever get stuck. for this you will have to swap, and dinding a complete awd tranny with engine its not easy. Plus you mihgt loose some power by having to pull all 4 wheels (although im no expert.)

finally everything else, it depends on your taste. but always remember. do it slow, one at a time. Converting your car into something bad ass, will not be cheap. Using cardboard body kits will get you nowhere.

save for a gt4 front end conversion and some jdm tails. z3 fenders and trd erebuni wing.. i dont know. just dont waste money into a cheapo kit...

just get some tein s-techs and kyb gr-2 struts and shocks. best setup you can get without spending a lot. but whatever you do... do not get those 99 cent coilovers on ebay. forget about the ride quality with those, think about your life. and for a body kit... usually the more you spend, the better it'll fit. which means you'll spend less on labor.

Thanks Joe. I found a page we have here on prices for springs and coilovers with make and models. I think I will go with those Tiens. Yeah, when I looked on ebay I thought to myself "These are way to damn cheap. I must steer clear of those". I didn't realize that page was there, I thought I searched them all but I guess not. I was looking for a different body kit, but I don't see many. That one that this German guy has on here looks different and pretty clean. I seen another one in the UK that looks different. I may hold off on it and get this one wing I really liked. At least the wing I don't see everyone has so I might try that while deciding on a body kit. Again, thanks for your help and dude above you. I really appreciate all of your guys' time put into a response, with the information you share.

I see that you want to be unique with the body kit and all, but why not stay simple and clean. Little things here and there will make your ride unique. You don't have to go balls out with custom a body to be unique.

im with bccentaur3 a nice clean look is what im after on my car, if you want something unique though check out pakfeifer.com or something like that i dont know anything about them but seems to me i remeber they had something different on there. or else check out just splitters or a lip.

also i had a friend that had tein springs on his integra and they rode pretty descent and gave the car alot nicer more aggresive stance.

Thanks guys, I will keep that in consideration. I know what you mean about having a clean looking ride, but at the same time, I don't see the point in customizing, if you are still going to look like everyone else. I used to jump on my ex about putting blond streaks in her hair and tanning because all the other "Hot Chicks" were doing that crap. Then again, I guess she ended up going back to her.... "Stock" look? LOL

Lowering/Rims/Exhuast sounds like a good step, but when you get a body kit, make sure you have extra money left over for fitment/installation and paint. The only thing worse than a body kit that doesn't fit right, is an unpainted body kit that doesn't fit right. Believe me, it will haunt you forever laugh.gif .

The Tein S-techs and KYB GR-2 are a great choice and lower your car a good amount. Make sure to lower it before you get rims though haha smile.gif.

X2 ^^

Im with him on this one, less is more i feel.

As for your suspension setup, heres my look in it. If you TRUELY plan on goin awd, than i wouldnt bother getting anything right now. your gonna have to convert to Super-Strut suspension and ditch the McPherson struts you have now. I dont know if you researched it or not but the awd conversion is an INTENSE task, not bolt on. theres a lot of welding and engineering involved that needs to be done correctly for it to be safe.

However, if you decide not to go awd: I have Tein SS on my car and absolutely love it! on the soft setting its perfect and still handles well. the suspension feels nice and tight. I had Ground Control coils before and they were good for the street but i wanted a slightly stiffer ride and I liked SS way better.

it all comes down to what you want to spend. If you can afford the SS, id say do it, its worth the money. if you are more on a budget, id say Ground Control Coils or Tein S tech springs on a kyb shock would work just fine smile.gif Good luck, keep us updated.

I say skip the awd conversion. Too much work imo. If you want awd get an evo or an sti. Spend money on suspension. Get a nice set of coilovers from tein for adjustability and sway bars. After that 3 point strut bars front and back. You'll have a handleing king.
