I personally dont like the fact that they are using a Subaru motor only beacuse they are retarded in the way that they work, and overly complicated for something thats made very simple by other car companies (seriously whats the point of a horizontal 4 cyl? When you could get the same power/more reliability out of an inline 4 made by Toyota). Not to mention a lot of the Subaru guys will now infest toyota nation. But what I do like is that Toyota is getting back into the swing of things with sports cars. Thats definately a plus. Discuss. |

You must not know alot about engine if you're asking why a boxer is "better" than a i4. 1. Less vibration, piston movement cancel each other. Very smooth engine. 2. Balanced/Symetrical drivetrain, basicly instead of having the engine sitting in the corner of the engine bay along with the transmission, you have the engine and transmission right in the middle. 3. Lower center of gravity 4. Equal length driveshafts 5. boxer sound > i4 exhaust sound 6. Its not less reliable than any other engine and not more complicated at all. But if it takes subaru go get toyota to grow some balls and make a new fun car, why not? With the way toyota is going I'd be suprised they go through the development and legalization of new high performance engines with all the new upcoming cafe regulations. If that car comes out and I can afford it, I might have to say peace to all of you.

just my humble opinion about new GT-four: I will exist only as prototype or study. It will never be for sale...
