Just like the title says. The reason why I say maybe is because I know that the price for these parts is rather expensive and out of most of your budgets. If no one is interested, I'm just gonna eat the loss and do an even trade with my shop.
Now what I have for sale is an E153 tranny, which came off of a 95 JDM MR2 Turbo. I also have a factory LSD, which I bought used and is still in good condition, but isn't installed in the tranny yet. Now for the price breakdown: E153: $325 Factory LSD: $350 Parts needed to install the LSD: about $120 This all adds up to $795, which is a lot cheaper than buying the E153 on its own. You may be able to find a used E153 *WITHOUT LSD* anywhere b/w $500 to $1200. I know that you can get it brand new for around $1400. With that said, this is a good deal and trust me, I'm not trying to profit off this. I'm willing to sell these parts for the amount that I paid for them. So what else will be needed for this tranny to work with your swap? You'll need to purchase the MR2 turbo inner axle shafts (LSD type), which is about $380 for the pair from ToyotaWorld.com. Good luck trying to find these axles used. You'll also need 91 V6 Camry outer shafts, which you can get for about $50 for the pair through car-part.com. You'll also need to buy a clutch, which you can get for a good deal at grd4spd.com. Ask for Terry. I bought a stage 3 Clutch Masters clutch from him for a really good price. This will bolt directly to your 3S-GTE. The reason why I'm selling this is because the shop that's installing my motor ended up getting a E153 with the LSD already installed. I don't mind selling these parts individually, but I'd rather sell everything together. WHO WOULDN'T WANT LSD ANYWAY? If your goals are to go well beyond 250 HP, it would be in your best interest to have a tranny with LSD. So all you pay for are the aforementioned parts, shipping, and the cost to palletize the tranny. Shipping should only be around $120 and palletizing costs $50... but I'll pay for half the cost to palletize. I'm also willing to use escrow.com, since there's still quite a number of you who do not know who I am. If you want, ask around and people will tell you that I've always followed through and I'm an honest guy. If no one purchases this by the time my car is out of the shop, then I'm just gonna have to close this deal and leave this as an even trade with the shop. One last thing, I spent about 4 months trying to find a tranny with LSD to no avail. I ended up just buying the tranny and LSD separate because I was sick and tired of waiting. Also, before you purchase this, you may want to contact some local tranny shops to ask how much it'll cost to install the LSD... That way you can plan your budgets accordingly. Just a little advice for ya. Post here or PM me if you're interested. -Ray This post has been edited by kuya1284: Aug 28, 2003 - 1:00 PM |
