Im not sure I understand the questio n correctly! Are you swapping a 3SGE for a 3SGTE or wanting to know if whatever you have currently can easily be swapped out for one of the above?

I'd say that the 3SGE is easier as its non turbo and alot easier of an engine to work on!

If you went for the 3SGTE you'd have to do alot more work to the transmission, intercooler, exhaust system, wiring. And obviosuly it depends on the type of the 3SGTE, the WRC versions came with water spray bars and other rally goodies that you will have to find GT4 parts to control!

But IMO the 3SGTE is the fa superior engine and great fun once its set up right!!!

depends on what gt4 engine it is, the non wrc models never had the spray bars, and to be honest, they are crap anyway and totally useless at making any difference on the intake temps.

none of the wrc parts are active so rendered useless anyway , but a 3s-ge would be easier to work on, but no were near as fun!

hahah i understand that it is much more fun with the 3sgte but from where i live gas price is a big issue here so no fun for me but anywaise isnt the latest 3sge motors about 220 hp (not sure, correct me if i am wrong)? the 3s that they put in the 6 gen celica in japen, that was made to go up against the type R's?
