I have a JVC headunit that has no preouts I am sad to say *got it with the car* I love the sound of everything, but I want subs and there are no preouts to run into a crossover. Does anyone know how I could filter the other sound comming out into a sub correctly, I am willing to replace my back speakers to run subs if I must I just wana get subs ya know smile.gif Thanks all

if you use an amp that has both high level and low level inputs you wont need the rca pre outs. You could use the speaker wire from your rear speakers to send the signal to the amp.

or use cut the rca jacks off and splice the wires into the back of the deck.... easiest way. then u can still use the rca jacks that go to the amp without spending like $20 on the line level converter.

why not just get a new deck??

i know its the most cost effective (big word day) way but some day you might want to add a 4 channel amp

also if you use the speaker level inputs i hear that if you dont have it grounded perfectly you will hear additional noise in the music.

Go to a sound system store and let them know you need a "line level converter" for a 2 channel amp. you can splice into your back speaker wires on the back of the stock deck and then you just plug the rca's into that. That is what I have on my stock stereo rather than getting a new one. I also have one for a 4 channel amp hooked up to my front and back speakers for the stock speakers"which are not stock anymore".
