My flex pipe between the header and catalystic converter has an exhaust leak... I was wondering, is it possible to eliminate the flex pipe and get a pipe welded where the flex pipe is suppose to be without hurting the car?

No, you need the flex pipe to be there so the exhaust won't crack when the engine flexes.

I wouldn't remove it, adds needed flex to hard pipes.

Well I ordered the flex off of summit but cut the old one out and got a pipe welded on as a temp. fix...
BTW... may sound pretty stupid, but is a flex pipe pretty much universal? -------------------- Celica *The Baby Supra*
