 Oil Pump and oil pressure light |

I turn the car on and the oil light (Red) comes on and than goes off as it's suppose to. Now if my oil pump was going bad would that oil pressure light come on?

if your oil pump was bad you would probably have no idea unless you had an oil pressure gauge that always gave you consistently low readings while your oil level is always just fine.
That idiot light will just warn you after it's only seeing less than a quarter of the normal pressure after it's already become harmful to the motor. -------------------- |
