hi everyone i found this site from Ozcelica and thought i shud sign up as theres lots of info and stuff on here.
I'm from australia and I'm 16 and get my license in 2 months. I saved up for my celica and bought it myself, a 1997 ST204 SX liftback. theres some picures on here i dont know hpw to show them here but yeh. anyways it goes pretty good i donmt really know much about theM. I have a fgew questions though: 1. Whats the cosmetic differences between ST204 and ST202 and all the others? like can bumpers and what not fit each other? 2. how wide rims caan you go before they scrub on full lock? 3. i have a TVSS security system which the local toyota dealer tells me mite be a "dealer/port fit", on Ozcelica someone said the box would be under the passenger seat (which its not, that would be too easy) just wondering where that is. 4. do those tweeters in the door actually do anything? thanks, i hope to learn things from the people on here |

welcome! lots of aussy's joining lately. ST202 is a front wheel drive with the 3SGE I believe, the ST204 is the celica sx, sx-r, zr and GT from america which is powered by the 5SFE.
I have 205/45ZR17 on mine and they never rub, I noticed it on the track but only when I was going way too fast. |

In Australia I'm pretty sure most body parts should fit, 94-95 celicas have the 2 post spoiler where as late 95-99 had 3 post spoilers and different front spoiler, if you get GT-4 parts I'm not sure if they will fit our celicas. As for wheels I have no idea how wide mine are haha sorry.
just cover the front part with mesh like I did haha bit ricey but it looks better than a gaping hole. |

Hey dude, My celica came stock standard with Toyota 16x7.5", 6 spoke alloys wrapped in 215/50/R16 and it looks as though there's a good 1 inch clearance in there.

215 definitely has its advantages over 205 in the wet, in the dry 205 is suffice, good tread and good suspension will let you floor the pedal 2nd gear around corners no problems. As for the fogs, All Celicas (Except the GT-Four which is totally different) will have either 1 of 2 different front bumpers, the 1994-1995 shape and the 1996-1999 facelift shape, Any 2 Celicas with identical bumpers can swap fog lights, Just pop those black covers out, You'll need to come up with your own wiring harness, fuse & cabin switch.
