I was looking at some online sellers of new sheetmetal and noticed that you can buy a new fender for a little over $100, but they all say NOT FOR CONVERTIBLE.

What's different on the convertible fender?

Nope. I just checked and the parts interchange system the junkyards use ALSO lists the convertible fenders as different from coupe/hatch.

Anyone?

you do mean the fenders (front, sides) not the quarter panels (back, sides) right?

I can't think of any reason the fenders would be different than a coupes/hatchbacks.

Yes, front fenders, lol, I do know what a fender is wink.gif

If anyone has a picture of the back of a coupe/hatchback fender, post it and I will look at the back of my vert fender.

I am guessing there is additional bracing of some sort on the vert to help stiffen the car.

they should fit, but there is an old rumor that someone put a hatch fender and it didn't line up well, i just think the fender needed a little fitting//

Front fenders are different because of the extra support or frame added on the rocker panels. regular fenders are attached on the bottom of the rocker panel and verts are on the side with only one bolt. Q-panels are from coup but you will have to cut them and do some metal work to fit.

I HAVE ORIGINAL VERT FENDER FOR DRIVER SIDE FOR $150.
