I went to Advanced and Auto Zone both and asked about a complete performance cold air intake and they told me that they couldnt order anything at all. I need to know what everyone else has done and what I need to do. This is my next part that I am putting on the car and after that it will be a stage 2 racing clutch and the short throw shifter. Thanks for all the help guys realy wanna try to get this ordered and maybe even put on this weekend.

Like me you have an ST, so why bother? Its not gonna change anything except the look and sound of your intake, IMO not worth it on an st. As far as that goes neither is the race clutch, go with oem. wink.gif

This is your car though, you should do what you want. smile.gif JMO.

I have a 1996 ST with a CAI on it. It came with the car when i bought it. Sounds good but i doubt it helped as far as HP/TQ numbers. I can take a pic for you some time and post it on here.

If your near me i might even trade you for the stock setup. It's just my commuter car and puddles scare me. lol.

Was wondering there are two hoses and one sensor on the gt intake. On my aftermarket short ram it only has the flange for the sensor and the hoses that goes from the intake the to engine. What is the other hose and where does it go to, is it needed?

Go onto ebay and buy a kit for a 90-93 honda accord. 3'' work fine, i have one on my 94 st. You need to make two cuts and it fits. The filter may rub the splash guard but it works.

if i were the guy, i would save myself a bunch of money and get the k&n drop in, because as said before, an intake is not going to make a sh*t of difference on the torqueless wonder 1.8 liter slowmobile (i have the same engine).

if this guy doesn't buy the drop in filter, how much would you want for it?

First time on this site...I've got a '95 gt convertible with 170,000. 3 months ago I installed an Injen cold air intake on my car..I bought it from autoanything.com i think. There is a bit more torque and seems to have more going for it ... it is louder, without question. I have done nothing else to the car after installing the short ram, so I don't know if I should adjust the timing or something...???.

Also, has anyone tried the SLR motorsport chip? for 69 bucks i can't imagine it would work wonders, but, maybe it would add a bit of HP.

So, my questions are: 1: is there anything else i need to do to the car, like adjust the timing, and 2: the SLR chips, is it worth a try?

thanks
