So yesterday I was driving my 1994 1.8 St and it was driving very well then (not sure if this is related to the problem or not) it started snowing moderately 20 minutes late rpms started bogging down then stalled out. Initially I could restart the car but it would just sit at idle, if I tried to give it any gas whatsoever it would just die...then it wouldnt start at all.

Soooo got it towed back home and it started right back up drove fine for about 10 min then same problem happened. frown.gif

I am 99% sure its not a fuel delivery problem, I sprayed starting fluid and it still wouldnt start and i put a little gas in the cylinders and it still wouldnt start.

Next thing i did was look at the wires and it appears that the spark it gives off when its starting looks dull.

Then I busted out my multi meter and bench tested my ignition coil to a new one and i get the same readings. I have no idea what else it could be, any ideas? aside from just replacing the distributor and hope that works

It sounds to me like it is a fuel delivery problem. When's the last time you changed your fuel filter? Did you just put gas in your car before this started happening? This also sounds a lot like what happens when you've got bad fuel in the line.
