they are known for good quality in the yaris community.
Thats about all I can add Ah... and judging by the vent locations, very practical to keep things cool This post has been edited by crankyelbow: Feb 17, 2009 - 10:16 PM |

i try to find better pictures...but so far i failed....looks like they replicated the gt4 vents and nose hole almost perfectly but it doesn't seem like you can take off the parts as they are cleaning molded on to the hood and don't know if the rain deflectors would fit because no screw holes for the middle vent...maybe drilling new holes?

I'm not sure about the hoods for the 6gcs, but the Seibon hoods for the 5th gens that are replicas of the AT and CS, they are nothing like the origional. on the CS the vents arent in the same location. VIS would be a better company to look into for a hood. They are similar in price too.

I sell them in the celica club and yes they are lighter then origional aluminium hood and no mine are not branded Seibon ones and yet they are top quality, perfect fitment and cost less then branded ones. Look at this link. Though I'm out of stock now due to fantasic sales in the UK, I'll be getting more in stock soon. Just let me know. http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=74555 |

okay....now the questions are:
is this for st202 or the st204 model in the US or is it strictly for the GT4 st205 versions only? does the grill come with the hood? Can the rain deflectors fit underneath the bonnet...are there any screw holes to hold the plate under the grill in the middle of hood? for this: This post has been edited by chacha: Feb 21, 2009 - 8:51 PM |

i was fortunate enough to attend sema and one of the booth that grabbed my eye was the SEIBON booth, judging by how their product looks and how they presented their product at the booth they look pretty awesome, id give them 10 out of 10, but one thing i noticed, it doesnt matter if its a branded cf hood or not, if its not OEM(which they are all isnt since they are carbon fiber) they all wouldnt fit like OEM but the quality of the workmanship involved makes all the difference, in some cases branded cf parts seem to fit BETTER than the ones that are not assuming that branded cf companies have more stages in their quality control, so in conclusion (my opinion) is that cf parts wont always fit like OEM but can always be close to a perfect fitment...

The CF hoods are 1 piece and they do not have removable vents like the origional ST205 hood so the rain guard will not fit as it requires the origional bolts to hold them down.
ej8feroio702- your comment is quite true in regards to larger companies having better quality controll and ye "in SOME cases branded cf parts seem to fit BETTER than the ones that are not assuming that branded" but not always. I actively seek out products which are not branded or not signed to a brand to try myself and share the finds umongst other celica owners as the items and products I choose to sell are nothing less then the best in the market. I choose not to brand my finings to keep cost low but I've reached the stage where I'e established so many good suppliers and products that I'm ready to open a shop. There are a lot of modders like myself who believes that modding doesnt have to be expensive ad if you can get the exact same thing for half the price, exactly the same quality, performance and standard and with the same aftermarket service and garantee but without a label. Wouldt you buy it? Thats the kind of audience I target. |

back to the question, is this only made just for the st205 models or the st202 or st204 too? I agree to your idea about buying things at half the price because we should be paying for the product not the branded name that goes with it. How is your fitment with the hoods to the car, whether just for the GT4 st205 only or to the st202 or the st204 in the US?

It will fit the ST202 and ST204 accept just like the stock ST205 hood it's raised along the middle meaning you'll have a small gap at the front which can act as a vent. You'll also need to buy a ST205 catch as it's a bit longer and needed to lock the hood down and that can be picked up at your local toyota dealer.
I've sold 2 of these hoods to ST202 owners with no problems at all and it fits perfectly. They however changed their front bumpers to GT4 bumpers so dont have the gap. HTH. |

^im thinking about this... would the gap be fixed if you got a body shop to mould some fibreglass ontop of your bumper where the gap is, and then smoothed everything out? so that it gets rid of the gap? and of course resprayed it .

I stand corrected on this one, there are other companies that are not known for their product but still out performs other brand name companies, and another thing specially at this time the economy sucks, there are alot of tuners like us that are cutting down the budget on our builds, but we all know performance cannot be sacrificed so we will only have to settle for the best quality we could afford... -------------------- |

no ones proving you wrong ej so stand proud.
Yes the current state of economy does make it difficult for traders to import and for consumers to get value for money. I too am modder and will go for only the best of what I can find. Thats why my hoods sell so well based on its quality and value and not the band name. I believe in letting the product speek for its self and first hand experience is always best. mine and another customer This post has been edited by yellowchinaman: Feb 24, 2009 - 5:16 AM |

thanks bro for sharing the info....if you ever have these in production...get a gb going. No problem however postage from the UK to the US is expensive. Around Europe it's ok only about £70 postage. But if there is a group buy or someone in the US wanting to buy a number of them I can arrange for them to be sent directly to the US to 1 location saving tax, duty and postage. |

depending on the product, my other suppliers are from Korea, Japan and Russia and different suppliers vary on differnt products. I know general thoughts are china cheap crap but through persistance and consistant quality controll, the final result is of the highest in the market.
I've sent you a PM cultable This post has been edited by yellowchinaman: Feb 24, 2009 - 8:30 PM |
