I looked around and used the search engine but no luck.
My celi is leaking oil and its doing it in an excessive amount. I forgot where i read that the washer(on the drain plug bolt) was important to keep the oil pan sealed. is this true? i have purchased the bolt with a washer and new oil before i change it i was hoping to get some confirmation cause oil is getting expensive. thanks for the help. |

yes it is important but it would also be obvious if that was the problem, trace the oil. I know it gets confusing especially when the car is moving and it splashes the oil around over time making it harder to pinpoint but basically, the start of oil leaks usually have more dripping from the source. The bottom of the car or cross member wont tell you much except that the oil fell and collected on it.
