Remove plastic pieces on the sides
Remove visors and visor clips
Remove rear view mirror
Remove map lights
Remove 3 fasteners in the rear

Edit: You might have to remove trim around the sunroof... idk, I don't have one.

Its really not that hard (unless you own a coupe). I coulda sworn that AkiraD and myself put something up on here regarding headliner removal (although it was more geared for sunroof stuff). Its easy though. Remove the "a" pillar moldings, remove three plastic screws in the back (by the window), remove rearview mirror, remove visors and the clips that hold them in, remove sunroof/map light housing, loosen the plastic trim in the back after you remove the coat hanger things. Then if you have a sunroof, take off that little piece of trim. If you own a hatch, it shuld slide right out the back. If you happen to be like me and own a coupe, you might wonder how to get it out once you get it removed. I just layed both seats flat, and gently removed it by pulling it out at a weird angle.

This is the part DYI I was talking about.
