I have a 3SGTE swapped into AT200 body. I'm looking to upgrade my suspension. The goal is less body roll. I want the Celica to be glued to the road! The front suspension is superstrut from the ST205 donor. Rear is regular AT200. All my suspension is stock. I do have a rear strut bar though
There are several nice coilover kits on the market. Tein superstreet is my #1 choice. Discovered that the ST202 / AT200 have the same rear suspension setup. There is a ST202 Tein superstreet kit for superstrut available. That one would be perfect! Part # GSL08-B1SS4 But €1750... quite a lot of money. The BC Racing kit might be good value for money. Although it needs the superstreet legs welded on. I'm keeping an eye on the BC coils topic. Like someone from GT4OC forum said: QUOTE I just removed Tein Driving Master HA coil-overs from my GT4 as I found the ride very poor, even on softest setting just way too hard. I replaced with new OE Toyota/KYB dampers, Tein springs, TRD top mounts and find the ride so much more compliant, yet still stiff enough in roll to make the car well controlled and much quicker on A/B roads as have more confidence in car as the suspension is working now with the road, not fighting it. The Tein coil-over springs are rated at about 470lb ft front 270lb ft rear, whereas there lowered springs for standard dampers are 270lb ft front 207lb ft rear IIRC, a huge differance. The above sounds good (using stock or KYB struts, uprated springs and TRD top mounts) and would costs about 700 euro's. But how does it compare to a kit? If a coilover kit is no option for me, what would be a good path to improve my setup, suspension wise? I've browsed throught the FAQ section, but am still confused. Help appreciated! Megans in my experience are best bang for your buck, softest setting is softer than stock and hardest setting is good for track use. Overall it gives you that balance.

In any case, my options are kind of foggy for me. Is it possible for me to fit a kit intended for ST205, wil the rear coils fit? the rear st205 struts won't fit the rear at200 suspension. the top mounts will fit fine but the two bolts that mount to the knuckle is spaced differently. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

I figured out that the ST202 and AT200 rear suspension is the same. And found a suitable Tein superstreet kit. Now I've got some options. |
