So this is a first for me... that nice 19mm crankshaft bolt got rounded yesterday morning when i went to pull it off... Does anybody know if i take the almost bare block to a Toyota dealer, can they torch it off for me?? unless someone else has a good/better idea??

usually that bolt pops pretty good for me after i freeze and release it but this one just spun right down... what a day...

I would file it evenly on all 6 sides to the next smaller size (18mm or 11/16) to where you can get a socket on it real snug. Then try again. Use a 6-point socket only.

Don't know what good torching will do if you can't get a grip on it.

A more exotic solution is to get a 3/4" hex deep nut and weld it on the end of the bolt. Can be done if you're real good with a TIG.

VICTORY!!! so it turns out there is a tool called an extractor.... i am sure everyone has seen an easy out... where you drill a hole down the center and put in a reverse bit style thing and twist... well this being the crankshaft bolt and being 19mm i knew that would not work... however... they do make a socket looking tool that is super strong, super expensive.. and has super sharp teeth in it that you put over the busted top and HAMMER on... then you strap up your ratchet drive and have a go... well it worked perfect... now it destroys the bolt but mine was already destroyed so no loss there!! WOOOOT! thanks for the help!
