so here's my dilemma. recently my clutch (i think, i'm sure) has been slowly going out on me. when i let off the clutch and smash the gas, i get all engine and no go, 5k rpms in first, and i'm doing 0-15k in about 10 seconds, if i don't have a hill to climb.
oh, and i just figured out today, that it's kinda like the clutch isn't seating all the way. you know what it's like when you let out just a little bit on the clutch, looking for the engine to grab, so you can creep up to the stop line, or to get a start going up a hill? well, mine's doing that when i take my foot off the clutch and my foot off the break, not even touching the accelerator. could it be that i just need to bleed my clutch line, or is my clutch just that shot? and, when i do replace the clutch and pressure plate, does the flywheel need replaced too, or only if it can't be smoothed out? thanks for the help -------------------- ~Andy

if you have never replaced your clutch until now, it seems like thats the problem. Just keep an eye out for the other parts as well. Good practice is to replace other parts along your way that are a pita to do again later just like ^ said. Most ESPECIALLY when they are hard to get back to.

this is it..
two ways of doing it. you can do it in place, or take the surround out and its easier. but by taking it out you have to drop the oilpan too, so its more work... its the seal that goes around the crank. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years...
