yea you can get a pretty good start from an automatic.... you just have to be real quick start in L then right before red line push up to 2nd then right before redline again D and keep it to the floor ... then take your O/D off.... if you do it just right then your Gold.....

Isn't that hard on your transmission?

Did it all the time with my automatic transmission before I swapped, actually I did it for about a year, and I honestly never felt a difference from the time I first started doing it, to when I did the 5SPD swap.

Do this!!! I know it is not good for the tranny but we do drive TOYOTA's!!! Indestrucable (almost)MY buddy's camry...he would put it in neutral and just put it to like 6 rpm's and then put it in drive. He tries to drop the tranny but he never could.

wont work, the torque converter just slows down the engine before everything starts to move.

power brake a little if you want to have a slightly quicker launch.

or just be quick and have one foot on the brake and the other ready to slam the gas in, slam the gas as your letting go of the brake and you will get a decent launch.

yea, u can get a pretty good start by power braking (holding in the brake and giving it gas then letting off the break) i wouldnt suggest the other way. a race insnt worth a f*cked up tranny.
