hmm not bad of a price. they usually run around $1500 on ebay.

You dont really need another person to install i did them on my own. You just need a strong arm to hold the coilover up long enough to bolt it up to the suspension support on the top, the one with the 3 holes

you also need some multipurpose grease. you do not need a spring comressor to take off your old set up.

you might need another jack to prop up the whole steering knuckle/hud assembly so that the two shock tower bolts will line up. You might be able to do it by hand but its tough because the shock tower is shorter. its just a way to make your life easier.

dont forget, tighten the top hat bolts once the car is on the floor and not in the air so that they tighten uniformly and in the correct position for driving. hope that helps

oh i just installed new struts inserts in the front yesterday. and i adjust the 3 bolt on the top while the car was on the air. should i lososen em up and them again.

I always tighten the bolts little by little until each one tight. I never tighten one really hard and then go to the next one and so on. I do it evenly.

you can do it yourself, like he said just hold up the whole assembly and tighten the top 3. I used a jack to hold up the knuckle. Get ready for back aches.

would you guys suggest replacing anything else while i have things in pieces anyways, I will be doing this at my mec's shop

(bushings etc..) car has 201,000k on it and no suspension work has ever been done aside from alignment.

I know when i recently put my teins on it might be a good idea to get some front and rear strut mounts while youre in there, you dont need too but i went ahead and changed them anyways, i think i had 215,000 on the car and i didnt want anything to happen after the upgrade, its a good setup you will definately like it, along with some sways, endlinks, and def some sticky tires you will feel the difference.

when doing the rears, i would just go out and buy a new pair of twosrus stabilizer links. it makes removing the rear struts faster by simply grinding off the old links without the hassle of rounding off the allen key hole from it being too tight. i know there's a special tool that toyota mech's use to quickly remove them but whatever, for $75 ya might as well upgrade 'em.
