I had the little 9" neons above my feet a while back, and I had some on my rear deck at one point, but got pulled over and got a massive ticket, so now they're gone.

It depends. Where are you planning on mounting them? If you're going to put them above your feet under the dash, I'd advise using some wire and maybe some zip ties. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

If you're going to do that, I'd use some velcro to do the trick. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

i have red neons under the dash in the foot wells and also red leds in the ac vents. it looks pretty sweet everyone seems to like the leds though. just use your imagination and try a few things before you decide how you want it.

hey can you please post some pictures of that? and where you mounted them? thanks
Edit: IN your profile how did you pop off the vent all the way to the right? If you look at my profile, you'll notice it's still black. I can't pop the damn thing off. This post has been edited by Akimbo: Oct 22, 2003 - 6:06 PM -------------------- |

Do you have photos of the LEDs in the vents? Also, are they the Varad LEDs? I have a set of four sitting at home, and I plan to put a couple in my vents soon. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

i have 2 yellow ones under the dash by the pedals on both driver and passenger sides. The have a small relay box and they plug right into them. You gotta ground it and hook the other to a power source. I did mine to my lights so i dont have a separate switch.

if i have a chance tonight i'll take some night pics of my car. i dont remember what brand the leds are but they look sweet. also to mount them under the dash i just used zipties to hold them up out of sight. also just put on a underbody neon kit that looks pretty sweet. hopefully i ll have some pics up tonight. as for the vent on the right i just used 2 screw drivers and popped it out. just give it a little muscle and it will come out.

I used to have a buncha neons inside and out of my celica (think count was over 30 at one point)... For the vents use the mini streetglow neons.. they end up looking a little better than leds.. tried both and wasnt too happy with the leds.
also follow coomers suggestion on the ziptie thing.. that is the best way to hook them up cuz no holes to drill or deal with if you take them out... once my celi is back together I plan on working on making grey neons for the underside.. got a neat idea... has to do with lights that pulse to engine rev and starz... if I can find a old photo of how the neons used to look I will post it for ya -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
