An Anniversary Edition should have Celica stitched into the seats and other unique emblems around the car, if I'm not mistaken.

These are signs from a U.S. 25th anniversary edition:

-Fender Badges and Decals
-Black flexible emblem (the front and rear emblems)
-badge on mirror
-25th anniversary embroidery on floormats
-celica embroidery on seats

And these are signs from a European 25th anniversary edition:

I was told mine was a 25th anniversary when I bought it. The only thing I have, besides having all of the options, is a sticker with the word "Limited" below the GT-S in the back. I think i was had. mad.gif

25th anniversary celica was only on the ST line, so your GT-S couldn't be.

I don't think so. I have a convertible mirror with the 25th anniversary logo on it. How do you explain that?

Sorry, there were a handful of GT verts in 96 that were 25th anniversary as well.

Canadian models were a little different from the U.S. since we got the GT-S and the U.S. did not.

Does anything else make them different outside of the stickers and embroidery? I have a 1996 GT-S Convertible and thinking it could be a limited edition pretty quick! Lol...

A GT-S convertible? If it is really a GT-S then no, its not 25th anniversary edition. A handful of ST hatchbacks and GT convertibles, but no GT-S, unless yours is a Canadian import.

Does anyone know actual production numbers? I've seen 500, 1000, 1500, but I've never actually seen a badge higher than 475.

I haven't been on the site for a while and was browsing the threads.......... The UK 25th Anniversary pics (No 136) are from my car and as far as i know the run was limited to 250 in the UK. I agree that the stickers are very cheap looking considering that the car cost £20k new. I have only ever seen one other 25th ann. in Scotland (No 97) and have always wondered how many are still out there? The "CELICA" seat embroidery is really the only other distinguishing feature as i have not seen the same in any other 6G. The US emblems are much nicer incidentally, can you still buy these? I will check with my local Toyota dealer on Monday. Cheers guys!

There were about 3000 in the US. Hang on, I have all the documentation, I'll go take pics real quick.

Sorry for the double post but here are the pictures of the documentation and everything:

Front side:

Back side:

I don't know how the floor mats are limited edition, maybe mine didn't come with them? I had the same pair in my '94:

Close up of seat:

Name embroidery on seat:

I don't know where the license plate insert went or where the black emblem package is (or what it is for that matter) but I may be missing that as well.

Edit: My bad, copied the wrong link for the floor mats lol.

Let me go snap some of my black emblems and floormats.

BRB!!

Okay -

Seats

Floormats

Exterior badge

Interior badge

Black emblems

The plate insert is probably a license plate cover that says limited edition. I don't have that anymore.

Ah I have those black emblems. I just didn't know what it meant.

I definitely don't have the floor mats (as evidenced by my picture). I wonder if I can pick them up from a Toyota dealer?

Also, on the topic of 25th anniversary cars - my driver side 25th sticker (top and bottom) is missing - is it supposed to be like that or was it lost somewhere in it's 165k miles?
